Welcome to the Lindsey Eastridge Memorial blog. We will be welcoming family and friends to share their feelings and memories, as well as be posting charity events and updates here. I am not good with words and sharing my feelings, so if you would like to share a guest blog post, please send it to PJ@Love4Lindsey.com subject BLOG.
We are planning our first charity event, a motorcycle poker run and a car/truck show for March 24th, 2018. Why motorcycles, you may ask? Well, we, Lindsey’s father & mother-in law are bikers and we know the generosity that the biker community shows. No bigger hearts than bikers! We have added a custom car/truck show that is being coordinated by Lindsey’s sister Karla since that is more “her world” than ours. 🙂 Each year, Lindsey’s family will select a charity or charities for the proceeds.
We want to do annual events to keep Lindsey’s memory alive. You see, Lindsey left behind a husband, 2 step sons and 2 very young sons. I want her sons (my grandsons) to know that their mom’s life is important not only to them, but to the community and that she will never be forgotten, she will be honored, and forever be loved. It absolutely breaks my heart to see how much they miss their mom and for them to see the community remembering her and being so giving, let’s them see the good in the world. Every year, something good for the local community will happen through the tragic death of Lindsey. Thank you to our sponsors, bike and car/truck enthusiasts, donors and to everyone that has given support. It is greatly appreciated and we love you for it!
Please join us on the 1st Annual Memorial Poker Run
Tragically, Lindsey was taken from us and we are learning how to pick up the pieces. Lindsey was so much more than even those words above can describe. She was more than just a beautiful soul, she was fierce and passionate and she loved with everything in her. She was a protector of family and friends. She lived every day for her 2 boys, Madden and Nixon, step-sons Preston and Landon and her husband Brendon. Lindsey was a true “daddy’s girl” and loved her father and mother (Gary and Brenda) beyond words. She held incredible bonds and memories with her sisters Karla and Megan and brother Gary. An aunt to their children was a mere title to how much love she showered them with.
In this past year, we have grieved such a tragic loss in losing Lindsey. It has opened our eyes to value every moment of every day. To value family, friendships and the moments we get to share together. We honor Lindsey by celebrating her in stories of memories. To continue this, we are determined to make a difference in her name. Thus begins the Annual Lindsey Eastridge Memorial Poker Run. Every year we will be collecting donations in Lindsey’s memory to be donated to a charity the family has chosen. This year’s charity will be: Mental Health America of Arizona. This will help provide resources and care for individuals and families dealing with Mental Health issues. We can’t bring Lindsey back but we can help do something to ensure another family does not endure such a reckless loss due to mental illness.
